The French Department is pleased to offer an exciting year-abroad programme in Dijon, France. Dijon is the capital of the former province of Burgundy, and is steeped in history and tradition. Dijon's Musee des Beaux Arts is outstanding. In France, it's 2nd only to the Louvre. Located in the heart of historic Burgundy, just 90 minutes from Paris by train, the CIEF (Centre International d'Etudes Francaises) offers an exciting language programme for students at all levels of proficiency in French. In addition to compulsory language classes, the CIEF offers classes in French literature, phonetics, civilization, history, theatre, music, philosophy, and political science. Transfer credits may be possible for many of these subjects. Tuition is paid to Dalhousie; departmental bursaries and possible financial assistance from International Student and Exchange Services are available. Interested in learning more about the programme?
